Our programme is open to groups, families, couples and Individual volunteers.
We have had volunteers from the age of 7 to 72. If your desire is to volunteer in Romania, what's stopping you?
All of our volunteers love what they do on our programme, enjoying the work, safety of a fully supported programme with qualified leaders as well as the time and freedom to explore this beautiful country if that is their desire. Many stay at home enjoying the peace and culture of the village, some travel using the great train links that Deva offers to far flung destinations for the weekend including Bucharest and Budapest in Hungary. All destinations are accessible from here.
You don't have to to be qualified, you just have to be willing to create smiles.
Take a look at what some of our volunteers have said:
"I thought I was rubbish at everything until I saw the children smile when I taught them how to make a daisy chain, they loved it, no language barrier and it was so simple!" - Rachel (UK 25)
"Wow, they love learning new English words and they remember them!" - Sharon (Canada 18)
"Never have I met such a wonderfully friendly people, the children are so polite and the adults so warm and giving, even though they have little." - Walter (USA 72)
"I was quite concerned about working with the Special Needs Children, but after an hour, I knew that this was what I wanted to do for the whole of my stay. They are awesome, thank you so much for opening my eyes and allowing me to open mine!" - Julie (Australia 42)
"Thank you lady for coming here and helping us. When I grow up, I want to make other people smile too" - Anca (Romania 12)
Angie has written a little about her stay in her blog, which you may like to read, here is the link:
