What is needed

Many of our volunteers, friends and relatives ask us what can we bring / send that would be useful. Obviously that extra pair of hands is priceless, but money and material goods are also always very much appreciated. As we are so often asked this question, we have compiled this sheet to ensure that people do not spend their hard earned cash on inappropriate gifts, or unusable items.

You might notice that used clothing and soft toys do not appear, this is because these are sent in truck loads from Europe and whilst they have been sent with good intent and the recipients are grateful for the love shown, many sit in a large storage room waiting, whilst the children have little to eat and / or help to encourage their creativity. (An exception to this is new underwear. Nobody wants to wear second hand knickers, no matter how much they are needed).

This list is in no particular order, but we regularly update with highlights the items that we need most it also includes tiny gifts and enormous gifts for any we, the children and our Partners are most grateful – Thank you.

If you would prefer to send a donation please let us know that it is a donation and not part of a volunteering experience.

Should you wish to sponsor one of our partners directly, please drop us a line through
contactus@volunteerromania.co.uk  and we shall put you in direct contact with the appropriate person.
